Guild of Photographers January Awards

For 2014, I decided to join the Guild of Photographers. They run a competition with 3 categories (People, Weddings and Open) where you may enter 3 images per category per month. You either don’t win and receive feedback as to why not; achieve a Bronze which is hard to do so a great achievement; achieve Silver which the Guild Describes as very rare and sought after and then you have what they say to be the elusive ‘Gold’ Award.

January was my first month as a member and I was delighted to find out that out of the 9 images I entered, 7 achieved awards! I was awarded 3 Bronze (1 in People and 2 in Weddings), 3 Silver (2 in People and 1 in Open) and staggeringly I achieved a Gold Award in the Open category as well.
