I was born and raised in Scotland and have pretty much worked in photography since I left school in 1994 at 17 years old. I moved to London and assisted some of the best Advertising and Commercial photographers in the UK before moving to my first professional role with the countries leading family portrait franchise in 2002 .
After 6 years, I wanted a break from working weekends and so I moved in to a management role for a merchandise marketing firm in Buckinghamshire. In June 2010, my beautiful daughter was born and with this, my wife and I made the decision to move to Somerset. I had found I had really missed photography over the previous few years so decided it was time to launch my own studio and at the beginning of 2013, Made Portraits opened its doors.
In the 10 years since opening the studio, we have welcomed in many families into the studio and in that time, we also welcomed the birth of our second daughter in 2015. As a family man myself, I love what I do as I get to offer some quality family time within the studio and capture the relationships parents have with their kids.
