I am delighted to say that my award winning Lemon Babies project will be a part of the Wells Food Festival this coming weekend. This brings with it a couple of firsts for Lemon Babies. Along with this being the first (and probably only) time it has taken place outside of the studio, it will also be the first ever weekend day the project has done.

On the 11th of October 2015, you will find me in the Town Hall in Wells as part of the Wells Food Festival 2015. The Food Festival is an amazing family day out and Lemon Babies is delighted to be a part of it. Lemon Babies will be set up in a room on the right I believe and all you need to do is turn up. Capturing your images will take no more than 10 minutes so if there’s someone taking part when you arrive, it won’t take long at all to finish up.

The images will work best with colourful clothes and ideally something summery so vests, T-Shirts or short-sleeved shirt. It can also look brilliant if they’re dressed up like they’re off to a birthday. Obviously the outfits will probably get wet so as long as that’s ok. A change of clothes is certainly worth having. Some people are tempted to try their kids out with Lemon before hand however I would ask you resist this temptation because I have had a couple of kids come in and not eat the lemon because they remembered their last experience.

Think about accessories. Headbands (for girls), hat, cap, neck tie or something to accessorise would also be fantastic but not essential.

Lemon Babies at Made Portraits

For those that don’t know, Lemon Babies is my free to participate portrait project where I invite babies who are sitting unaided but are yet to take their first steps to experience their first taste of lemon in front of the camera. The results are varied but whatever the reaction, the images are always fantastic and you get them completely free of charge. I go through the images, edit them down to no more than 5 images, which I then send through fully retouched as High Resolution Digital Files.

The only condition is that children needed to be able to sit up unaided but yet to take their first steps and I need to be allowed to use the photos taken for posting on my Social Media and any other marketing I choose relevant to Made Portraits.

Although participating in Lemon Babies is completely free and you get your images as Digital Files to share, print and do whatever you want with. I am hoping that those that do decide to take part may make a small donation to a charity that has helped my own family in the past called Tommy’s. Choosing to donate and the amount is entirely at your discretion and as I said, the donation is NOT a condition to participate so please don’t feel obligated.
